About Volt
Volt was founded by three DTU students on a mission to change the festival experience through better infrastructure. Today Volt runs lockers, charging and battery swaps across the Nordics.
Our story
- 2024
New markets
Lockers became a sought-after product, especially at Swedish festivals. Volt expanded to Sweden and Norway and extended locker solutions to sports events.
- 2023
New products
Introduced lockers at Copenhell, Roskilde, Smukfest, and sports events such as CPH Marathon and DHL Stafetten.
- 2022
Rebuilding
Back at festivals in Denmark, Germany and England. Introduced SOUNDBOKS battery charging and project management for Roskilde Festival’s Rent Your Gear.
- 2020
COVID-19
Helped staff COVID-19 test centres. The company went bankrupt but was acquired and restarted the same year under new ownership.
- 2019
Record year
Optimised power banks with a new rectangular 5000 mAh model. Operations across Denmark, Sweden, England, Germany, Czech Republic, the Netherlands and France.
- 2016
Digital development
Developed a digital wardrobe system for Roskilde Festival with more than 35,000 users.
- 2015
International expansion
Expanded to festivals in France, Germany, the Netherlands and Sweden with more than 75,000 customers.
- 2013
Growing up
Upgraded to converted sales containers and expanded internationally. Served more than 40,000 customers.

The idea
Three DTU students tested power bank rental at Roskilde Festival and Smukfest from a converted caravan.
